Similarities among religions : Come to common terms between scriptures

ISLAM 

Allah says, Say,"O People of the Book(Veda & Bible)! COME TO COMMON TERMS as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah(The creator of everything); that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will). - (Al-Qur'an 3:64)

JUDAISM & CHRISTIANITY 

“COME NOW, LET US REASON TOGETHER,” says the LORD (The creator of everything). “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. - (Torah & Old testament of Bible - Isaiah 1:18-20)

HINDUISM 

To gain thy mercy, Varuna (Prophet), with hymns(sacred versus) we bind your heart, as binds The charioteer his tethered horse. They flee from me discouraged, bent (Bow down) only on obtaining wealths As to their nests the birds of air.When shall we bring, to be appeased (peace offered), the Hero(Prophet), Lord of warrior might, Him, the far-seeing (forethoughtful) Varuna? This, this with joy they both ACCEPT IN COMMON: never do they fail The ever-faithful worshiper. - (Rig veda 1.1.25,3-6)

Conclusion 


  • This is why Muslims prefer comparative studies among religions than others, because they understood All religions must have common teachings if all are from one single god, that is "All the vedas are from one common source".
  • The uncommon teachings could be because of few reasons,
  1. It must be added by human
  2. Some of them deleted or lost as the time passes
  3. Some of them may be the amended law of the existing by god almighty.
  4. It could be the new law to the people made by god almighty that was made due to situation and era.
  • God almighty is expecting us to obey his command which he gives through his books, to recognise his books, God almighty asks the people to come to common terms between new revelation (Quran) and old revelation (Veda & Bibles) of God almighty.
  • Therefore, Let's learn COMMON THINGS rather than uncommon teachings, to make unity among humanity.

Hinduism 

De ling a damsel, USURY, breaking a vow,.... ,(are offence) which make impure (Malavaha). - Manu Smriti: 11:62.

[Jesus said,] "If you have money, do not lend it at INTEREST, but give [it] to one from whom you will not get it back."- (THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS : 95) 

 

Judaism 

Take no INTEREST from him or profit, but fear your God, that your brother may live beside you. -(Torah - Leviticus 25:36) 

 
He withholds his hand from mistreating the poor and takes no interest or profit from them. He keeps my laws and follows my decrees. - (Torah - Ezekiel 18:17) 
 

Islam 

And for practicing, USURY, which was forbidden, and for consuming the people's money illicitly. We have prepared for the disbelievers among them painful retribution. (Quran - Al-Nisa 4:161)  

 

Buddism

Question : Who is with VEIL ever after the whole world against it, even when their own scriptures commanded their women to veil themselves?

Holy Bible 

ALL SCRIPTURE is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. - (2 Timothy 3:16-17)


"Indeed We have sent (ALL) Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the SCRIPTURE and the Balance (justice) that mankind may keep up justice." (57:25)

    • This implies All the scriptures are from the same god, when a new scripture comes, the old-one looses its validity, but how?
    • When a old law is amended by the legislative assembly, By default the old law has no valid. the same logic is applied for the law of god, isn't it?
    • But every books that claimed by people to be the sacred scripture of god, can not be accepted.
    • There is a test to confirm it,
    1. It should fulfill the prophecies that was given in the previous Vedas.
    2. The man through whom the scripture came, should be holy which can be identified his character and his life.
    3. The Man who is teaching should not violate what the scripture says.
    4. And finally it should deal with both the prophesy and history facts.


Literal meaning of name of the Scriptures



VEDA 

Means knowledge, the knowledge par supreme knowledge ie, "GOD".

TORAH 

Means "instruction" or "teaching" of GOD

ZABUR 

Means "book" or "letter" of GOD

BIBLE 

means BOOK, The Christians call it "GOSPEL" in another word, which means "Good news" from GOD, AS Quran mention it as "Injeel" which also means "Good news".

QURAN 

"The Recitation" of God's word

    • -All the religions claims the GOD who created the world is the one who gave their SACRED SCRIPTURES to follow.
    • Yes quran says the same, All the scriptures are form god, And asks everyone to "Come to common terms between their book and Quran" so that they can understand, this is also the book of GOD to follow by the entire humanity.

Allah says in the Quran "Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance (justice) that mankind may keep up justice." (57:25)

The Uncommon teachings took place among the scriptures because of

1) Insertion and deletion by people
- biblical scholars proved the versus about trinity is an insertions and they
deleted/modified it.
- The Hindu scriptures has opposite teachings from one another.

2) Misinterpretation, misunderstandings, Miss-translation by the people
- Almost all the prophesies said in the scriptures are still expected by the people of book.
for ex:
a) Jews still expecting Jesus
b) Hindus still expecting kalki
c) Christians still expecting the new messaiyah
- Though the name of prophet Muhammad mentioned almost in all the sacred books, it has been hidden by the above three factors.

3) Data loss of the scriptures
a) Buddhist scholars claims there is loss in the teachings of buddha
b) Gospel of Thomas found recently which contradicts the teachings of bible.

Therefore to remove all these corruptions Al-Quran calls the people,

"O people of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: that we worship none but The god creator of the world (Allah); that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not from among ourselves Lords and patrons other than Allah..

Conclusion 


The GOD is ONE, All sacred books are his, people has to follow the amended version.


Heaven / Paradise / Swarga / Jannah / vyahriti



TORAH / OLD TESTAMENT BIBLE 


- "In the beginning God created the heavens (Vilon, Raqi'a, Shehaqim, Ma'on, Makhon, Zebul, and Araboth = 7 heavens) and the earth". - [Genesis 1:1]


VEDA 


- "The Earth, the Sky, and the Heavens (bhu, bhuvas, svar, mahas, janas, tapas, and satya = 7 heavens) praise Him.) Let us meditate on the glory of the Divine Lord. He is the One who sustains us. We pray to Him that He may direct our understanding by instilling wisdom in us".- (Rig veda - 1.3.62 Mantra 62:10)



QURAN 


"It is Allah Who has created seven heavens, and earths as many ..." . [Quran 65:12]

Conclusion

    • All scriptures are talking about 7 heavens which are created by GOD,
    • Do u think its coincident or copy from one another? i don't think so! isn't it enough to understand all the scriptures are from god, and we have to follow the final revaluation and the completion of all book of god?

Where is the god who controls everything?



HINDUISM 


"..Whose (GOD's) eye controls this world From the highest heaven..: - (Rigveda - 10:129:7)

JUDAISM 


"...The LORD he is God in heaven above.." - (Torah : Deuteronomy 4:39)

CHRISTIANITY 


"And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." - (Bible : Matthew 23:9)

- The rig says, God controls from heaven, But how god came to earth, in different name, in different gender, like different species and etc.. isn't it degrading his dignity..?

- Here in Mathew 23:9 "FATHER" means GOD who is in heaven, and he prohibited of calling someone as god here in earth but Christians calls Jesus himself as god, Are they really following JESUS Christ's teaching?

- Islam and Judaism are the religions to Accept that god is one and he is in heaven, but Jews have failed to acknowledge the final prophet who is prophesied in their scripture by name.

Idol / Statue / Image


Christianity 


- Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is IDOLATRY. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. - (Bible - Colossians 3:5&6)
- “As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the Lord GOD: Go serve every one of you his IDOLS, now and hereafter,if you will not listen to me; but my holy name you shall no more profane with your gifts and your IDOLS. (Bible - Ezekiel 20:39)

Judaism 


“You shall not make IDOLS for yourselves or erect an IMAGE or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God. - (Torah Leviticus 26:1)

Hinduism 


"...Of that God you cannot make any IMAGES." (Yajur Veda 3:32)

This life is just a test, the eternal life would be given to the one who is working for that by obaying God almighty's command

CHIRISTIANITY 

No one has seen God at any time - [bible 1 John 4:12]

JUDAISM 

But He(God) said, "You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!" - - [Torah Exodus 33:20]

HINDUISM 

"His form is not to be seen; no one sees Him with the eye." - [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:20]

Messenger/Envoy/Prophet/Priest/Rishi of GOD


We know The Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) are came to existence by the messengers of GOD, But we think in Hinduism, there is no such thing called "MESSENGER OF GOD" The Present Hindu GOD concept is "God Doesn't send his messenger but He himself incarnate". Lets see What VEDA says about messengers?
Note : forget about the metaphorical figure of god such as INDRA, SIVA VISHNU and etc. Consider them and as a single, invisible god and the those different names are attributes of him alone, Instead of thinking them as a different persons.

AGNI - The Messenger of God in VEDAs

1) glorify Agni, the divine Priest and the MESSENGER of my oblations to God who is the bestow-er of prosperity. - RIG 1.1.1 Mantra 1:1

2) WE choose Agni the MESSENGER, the herald, master of all wealth. Well skilled in this our sacrifice. RIG 1.1.12 Mantra 12:1

3) Agni became the MESSENGER of earth and heaven - RIG 1.1.59 Mantra 59:2

4) Agni was the MESSENGER of the god.. ..Agni as messenger we choose, prospers himself, his enemy is defeated... - YAJUR 2.2.5.8 Mantra 8:5

5) Agni was the MESSENGER of the god - YAJUR 2.2.5.12 Mantra 12:8

6) With this mine homage I invoke Agni for you, the Son of Strength, Dear, wisest envoy, skilled in noble sacrifice, immortal MESSENGER of all. - SAMA 3.1.1.1.5 Dasati (Decade) 5:1

In ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS

As everyone knows the prophets of abrahamic religion's prophets/Messengers of god are born in HOLY ORDER and the hierarchy has given here as a picture..

 

In HINDUSIM 


we have seen there is messenger-hood exists in Hinduism, but what about Messenger's holy order in Hinduism, lets see what VEDA says about it?

1) All HOLYORDER's pathway they discovered he, full of knowledge, shared these deeds through worship. - Rig 1.3.31 Mantra 31

2) AGNI hath waxen mighty by laudations, to be adored with hymns of those who praise him. Loving the varied shows of HOLY ORDER at the first flush of dawn he shines as ENVOY.- Rig 1.3.5 Mantra 5"2

3) Him, MESSENGER of earth and head of heaven, AGNI Vaisvanara, born in HOLY ORDER, The Sage, the King, the guest of men, a vessel fit for their mouths, the God have generated - RIG 1.6.7 Mantra 7:1

4) That mighty eye of VARUNA and MITRA, infallible and dear, is moving upward.
The pure and lovely face of HOLY ORDER hath shone like gold of heaven in its arising. - 1.6.51 Mantra 51:1

5) This Soma is pressed for you, O MITRA and VARUNA, Who prosper HOLY ORDER; - 2.1.4.5 Mantra 5:a
